Dear steward,

This week's issue of the newsletter is dedicated to helping you choose a Bible reading plan for 2024.

Developing the discipline of daily Bible reading is one of the most important factors in your growth as a believer. Nevertheless, many of us are less consistent than we'd like.

Today, I aim to share some resources to help encourage you to spend more time in the Word in 2024.

If you're looking for a plan to follow, your first stop should be my updated Best Bible Reading Plans for 2024 article. There you'll find 10 of my favorite reading plans, organized by how much time they require each day.

If you're short on time, you might like my video that goes deeper into the best 5-minute per-day plans.

And for some more generalized tips on staying consistent with daily Bible reading, check out my 8 Tips for Making Devotions a Habit.

Scroll down to The Roundup portion of this issue for more resources that I hope will motivate you to make the commitment to get serious about reading God's Word this year and approach your devotional habits with renewed excitement.

What a gift we have to be able to read the very words of God. Let's not neglect it in 2024!

THE ROUNDUP 🔗

The best links I found this week

Make the Bible Part of Your Everyday in 2024 (16 mins)

John Piper / Desiring God

I have never met a mature, fruitful, strong, spiritually discerning Christian who is not full of Scripture, devoted to regular meditation on Scripture, and given to storing it in the heart through Bible memorization. And that’s not a coincidence.

How I’ll Be Reading the Bible in 2024 (4 mins)

Tim Challies

My favorite daily Bible-reading plan is the Five-Day Bible Reading Program. I have successfully used it for many years and intend to use it again in 2024. I gladly commend it to you.

Even More Bible Reading Plans for 2024 (6 mins)

Nathan W. Bingham / Ligonier

Ligonier's massive list of Bible reading plans includes some unique options that might interest you.

No-Guilt Bible Reading Plan (5 mins)

Matthew Everhard / YouTube

I included this plan in my list, but I wanted to highlight this video from my friend Matthew Everhard, which explains it better.

I love the flexibility of this reading plan. And it's the one I plan on using in 2024.
